Is pink really so bad?

I have been working on a new collection of dolls with a very different color palette then what S&L is known for. I am in love with Lizzy House's Red Letter Day fabric and think these would be perfect together.

I have been getting some requests for less pink. As much as I used to fight the pink clothes, etc with my own daughters, I secretly really love it. I do understand that moms want more options though. What do you think? What colors would you love to see?

  1. i love the aqua/orange combo, fell in love with it from heather ross' mendocino collection. it's a fantastic option for girls. i never thought i'd have a 'pink girl' either, but it seems to have become inevitable, and i find myself loving it. i enjoy pink with red and orange, creates a little tension. sorry for the rambling comment, love your dolls. very sweet!

  3. Jennifer, I am so glad that you love it! I'm really glad to hear this too, the pink thing, because it is something that I always take into consideration when I design a line. I naturally gravitate towards pink so it's always there, but I always try and balance it out. In Lizzy Dish it was with deeper purples, and in Red Letter Day it is with blue grays, and orange. Plus in Red Letter Day it is really easy for the Feather colorway (the pinks) to jump in with the others. Makes it easier to use pink, and not feel like you have a cuteness overload.

  4. It's so funny about pink. When I was preg and didn't know what I was having, I felt strongly about not "having a sea of pink" if I had a girl...Cut to 4 months later and I can't believe how much I love Clara in pink. It's so pretty and girly. I have done a total 180. It's not really a SEA of pink...maybe just a pond...
