This morning I was cleaning my daughter's room & noticed a sweet plate by Joan Walsh Anglund on her dresser. A gift from her nana for her first day of school. I used to try to draw these little characters for hours when I was her age. I can't believe that I didn't put this together until now, but I look at my dolls & see her influence in them. Do you think so too?
Of course this has me looking on eBay at her dolls & considering buying one...

I just found stickers by her I had as a little girl (I was one of those into sticker books)...anyway, LOVED her stuff and am so happy I found you. :) I get to live vicariously through my 3 year old daughter now ;)

i do see the influence.
ReplyDeleteyour dolls also remind me of the holly hobby dolls i had growing up. especially the minis. love!
I always wondered why they had no mouths? But my girls have no noses & there is no real reason...
